The glassblowers created 4 layered glass boxes with an ebony wooden base, the glass layers adding depth to the pieces. These boxes represent the 4 seasons, the mystery of life cycle, and time that is leaving and is renewing itself untiringly. Like Princess Otohime’s box, whatever the treasures they protect, these boxes are symbols of knowledge.
