Nishiki development

The Saga Nishiki is a shimmering jacquard made in Saga prefecture which uses washi paper covered with gold, silver or lacquer as traditional warp thread.
The weft is made of silk threads dyed in a multitude of colours. 

| Ondes

Saga Nishiki Council Development worked in collaboration with cabinetmaker HIROMATSU Toshihiko from the Asuka workshop. Woven washi leather straps were dyed with indigo by ASAI Naoyuki to create a new material effect. Together, they produce the «Ondes» collection, three cherry wooden trays wrapped jacquard.
